Community

The Edge is our in-house leadership programme. We are building the future today by:
- Training tomorrow‘s leaders
- Laying good foundations of doctrine and character
- Raising the level of excellence in all that we do
- Encouraging thinking that presses the envelope and walks close to the edge
- Exposure
to other great leaders who can take us up another level in life
and faith
“At Millbrook Christian Centre we are in the process of raising up a whole new generation of leaders, ministries and structures. Our in house ‘training and leadership’ track – called ‘The Edge’. During this time a group of potential leaders will be mentored and trained with a view to seeing a number of them take their place within the Senior leadership of the Church in 2008. We are looking for cutting edge men and women, with a cutting edge anointing on their lives. Every second Tuesday of the month we have a congregational ‘Edge event’ held at MCC – aimed at raising the ministry and skill level of the congregation in general. Practical subjects like - How to lead a Cell; how to share your faith; how to operate in the Gifts; how to pray for the sick; how to Counsel someone in need … and many others will be looked at in an instructive and interactive style.”
Worship

The worship ministry at MCC exists to facilitate and promote a lifestyle of worship in the church. It does this by: -
- Being worshippers.
- Using music to support the process and experience of loving God.
- Seeking out appropriate material for the various services at MCC.
- Training up a new generation of young worshippers and musicians.
The team meets on a Monday night for practice. The junior team that plays in Kids church also meets at the same time and we have an active programme of integrating these young musicians into the main team each Sunday.
Media
Media fulfills a significant role in the life of the church; managing all the technology and IT elements. (Like the page you are reading now) It seeks to do this with excellence and help the: -
- Ministry team of the church to effectively communicate its message.
- Use art and media in a creative, contemporary way.
- Manage the audio and video distribution of media to members.
- Technically support the music team as they lead the worship.
- Subdue all the gremlins and keep them locked up. (where they belong).
